A Band of Brothers Story…
Just a few years ago, Jason* was a young man in our ministry, full of potential but struggling to find his path. Like many teens, he faced obstacles that led him to step away from the support and community he had here. For a time, he felt lost, disconnected, and unsure of where he belonged (especially at school and home). But through it all, our team of dedicated adult male leaders never gave up on him. They continued to reach out, letting him know he was missed and that he had a place here, a place where he was valued and seen.
This year, something shifted in Jason’s heart, and he decided to return to our ministry, reconnecting with the very people who had been praying for him all along. It was the mentorship and programs tailored to the challenges young adults face, that ultimately drew him back (our AirMaxx night might have been a draw too), showing him that he was not alone on his journey. Surrounded by positive role models, Jason began to rediscover his faith and rekindle his hope for a better future.
Today, Jason is stepping up as a leader and example for others. He’s eager to share his story with younger teens (and teammates on his football team), hoping to remind them that no matter how far they stray, there’s always a way back to grace and community.
